Get straight to the heart of what makes the Mournes special at our ‘Ceili & Craic in the Mournes’ event, where you will fall in love with the ancient traditions of our district. Experience all the fun, music and stories of the mountains round a good turf fire with a local storyteller Sinead and traditional musicians Ciaran and Cormac, Try your hand at traditional instrument ‘the bones’, learn about our lost musical arts, smugglers tales, illegal poitin trade and some of our rich history. This is a fully immersive three-hour experience in the atmospheric Denvir’s Coaching Inn, Downpatrick. Poitin-tasting, a traditional two-course supper and a welcoming drink of your choice are included. Over 18s only.
