This event has been cancelled by Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.  This decision has been taken as a precaution and concern around the coronavirus.

St Patrick’s Day Celebrations in Downpatrick

Fabulous activities and performances will take place in St Patrick Square including live music, dance, arts, crafts and face painting. Additional children’s activities can also be found in Journey Community Church on Market Street.  A free park and ride service will be operating from Downpatrick Racecourse from 11:30 – 17:00.

The Cross-Community Carnival Parade is the centrepiece of celebrations in Downpatrick. This annual cavalcade of floats, bands and community groups provide a spectacular display.

The parade route follows the Ardglass Road, Edward Street, John Street and Market Street finishing at Rathkeltair House car park.  Various events throughout the day from 10.00am
